Missouri House to debate allowing student transfers to private schools


JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KPLR) – A possible solution to the school transfer troubles. The Missouri House could debate a bill this week that would allow students to transfer to non-religious, private schools.

Unaccredited districts would then pay the private school tuition using local tax revenue. Current law requires struggling districts to pay for students to attend better-performing public schools.
