1 killed, 1 critically injured after being hit by car

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis police are trying to track down the driver who hit two pedestrians in north St. Louis, killing one of them.   At this point police have no information on the car that was involved, nor do they know anything about a suspect.

The incident happened at 9:25 p.m. Sunday at North Grand near North Market.  Police say a man and woman were crossing North Grand when a car slammed into them then left the scene.

Investigators say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.  Officials say she appeared to be in her 50s.  The man she was with was rushed to a local hospital where he is listed in critical, but stable condition. We don't know his age.

Accident reconstruction investigators were at the scene trying to piece together exactly what happened.   Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Louis Police.

    I hope they catch this idiot. You hit anyone….. “STOP”! Pull over and call for help do not flee the crime it will get you in more trouble and possibly life behind bars. I hope the families find closure.
