Police say they were found in the front seats of a car and that a five-year-old boy, who is not biologically related to the dead victim, was sitting in the backseat and was not hurt, but was a witness to the violence.

Police have a limited description of the suspect, but say witnesses saw a black male running away from the scene northbound after the shots were fired.

Employees at the gas station say the shooting was all caught on surveillance cameras. They say the victim was pumping gas and when he was done, got back into the car with both children. Shortly after, the shooter approached the vehicle and fired eight shots into the car.
