One teen killed, one injured in South County car crash

OAKVILLE, MO (KPLR- A car crash has left one teenager dead and another injured. Around 11:00p.m. Friday, St. Louis County police responded to the accident near the intersection of Heintz Road and Erb Road in south St. Louis County.

A Mazda pick-up truck had left the roadway and struck a tree.  An 18-year-old male driver and an 18-year-old male passenger were rushed to a local hospital. The passenger, identified as Kenny Khammanivong, of Oakville, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver was admitted to the hospital. There is no word on the extent of  his injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is on-going. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
