St. Louis Treasurer’s office to host financial summit at Harris-Stowe

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – The St. Louis Treasurer’s Office will host a financial empowerment summit at Harris-Stowe University to address the needs of the community at-large on financial matters. The summit is in response to St. Louis being the number one city in the United States for minority households that are under banked and/or unbanked.

Banks, credit unions, state and federal agencies, along with The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis and The United Way of Greater St. Louis will be on hand to provide guidance and education of attendees of the event on financial literacy, second-chance bank accounts, credit counseling, unclaimed property database, identify theft and MOST 529 College Savings Program.

The event will be held on Saturday, April, 26th from 11 am to 3 pm.
