ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – There are some big lane closures on Interstate 64 that will impact your travel on the major thoroughfare. MoDOT is closing two lanes on Interstate 64 for construction.
The two westbound lanes at Boyle will close while construction crews work on a barrier wall. It’s part of an ongoing project to rebuild four bridges over the interstate and build a full interchange between I-64 and Tower Grove.
The closure was supposed to happen Monday night, but MoDOT was concerned about the weather, so it was postponed. The project is expected to continue until later this year, so drivers can expect more closures in the area.
The closure starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday and lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday.
