Couple accused of disciplining child with starvation

KING COUNTY, WA — A Washington couple is accused of starving their son. Police say they fed him only shakes of blended food for breakfast and dinner. Christopher Sefton and his fiance Lori Lloyd are facing criminal charges after a school employee noticed bruises on the child. The boy told police that his parents would use food as discipline. He says they wouldn’t feed him for days at a time.

The couple admit to feeding the child only shakes of blended bread, carrots, water hot dogs and vegetable oil. Only one in the morning and one at night. If he didn’t eat the meal he would starve.
