Teen’s fundraiser earns money to start recycling program

CHESTERFIELD, MO (KPLR) - A Glendale teen starts a recycling program and is rewarded for her work. News 11's Dan Gray co-hosted the Lutheran Elementary School Association's "A Night for Kids" dinner auction in Chesterfield Saturday night where  presented Grace Frisella with the 2014 “Christian Student Ambassador Award”.

The 8th grader at Christ Community Lutheran School in Kirkwood, wanted recycling bins in her classroom. Her principal helped here start a "Change War" in which classes competed to donate the most loose change. In all they raised over $400, enough to buy recycling bins for each classroom.

LESA's "Night for Kids" Tribute Dinner Auction was held at the St. Louis Marriott West.
