Red Cross assisting residents of St. Ann high rise apartment fire

ST. ANN, MO (KPLR) – A fire at a high rise apartment in St. Ann Friday is still playing havoc on resident’s lives. Some 161 residents had to be evacuated from the building, and placed in temporary housing.

The American Red Cross and the City of St. Ann are assisting residents, with some residents staying at the St. Ann Community Center, while others were booked into a Super 8 motel.

Pets of the residents are being housed temporarily at the St. Ann Animal Control Shelter.

The owners of the apartment building have work crews rehabbing the complex, repairing fire and water damage.
