Missouri House rejects measure to keep Normandy district schools open
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A big bump in the road for the Normandy School District. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Missouri House has rejected a measure providing $1.5 million for the district open for the rest of the school year.
The funding is part of the $327 million supplemental budget bill which the senate unanimously passed. House members believe the amount of money should be less. The House and Senate will have a joint committee to resolve the differences.
Without the assistance, Normandy will likely run out of money by next month.
