Police identify child shot and killed in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-- St. Louis police say a child who was shot and killed Wednesday night was 11 years old.  The family originally reported to police that the child was 7.  Authorities have identified the child as Antonio Johnson.

The shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of Tholozan.

Police Chief Sam Dotson says the home was targeted by the shooter, who stood on a window sill and fired 8 to 10 shots into the home.  The 11-year-old victim was on a computer, and was shot in the head. 3 adults, 2 teenagers & a 4-year-old were also in the home, but not hit.  One of the teenagers had been the victim of an earlier shooting, and was being questioned about this shooting.
