Fairview Heights bans outdoor burning

CONTROLLED BURN

FAIRVIEW HEIGTHS, IL (KTVI) – Following St. Clair County’s lead, the City of Fairview Heights has banned all outdoor burning until further notice. The ban comes one day after St. Clair County ban all outdoor burning till April 1st, exempting grilling and recreational fire pits.

The ban highlights the dry conditions that the St. Louis area is experiencing, leaving grass, woodlands and foliage extremely vulnerable to brush fires.
