“Tricked” documentary examines sex trafficking

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO (KPLR) – Sex trafficking is the equivalent of modern day slaveryand it's estimated to be a $3 billion-a-year industry in the United States.

It's also the subject of the new documentary "Tricked".

Janet Hendrickson, the president of the Women's Foundation of Greater St. Louis, stopped by to talk with Christine Buck about the film and the problems it brings to light.

The foundation is sponsoring a special showing of this film at the Tivoli. There will be a program after the screening with a survivor, a law enforcement officer, and a counselor sharing more information, available services, and current investigations. The showing is sold out.
