Should parents pre-screen kids for heart troubles?

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The collapse of a Dallas Stars hockey player during a game Monday night due to a heart condition has spread shock across the nation, and in St. Louis where the Stars play Tuesday night.

Rich Peverley had been treated previously for an irregular heartbeat.  He passed out during the game's first period and a defibrillator had to be used to revive him.

Doctors say you shouldn't worry about pre-screening your kids for heart troubles, unless they've shown symptoms in the past or there's a family history.
