(KPLR)  - After being denied urgently-needed federal disaster assistance, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn announces a multi-million-dollar funding boost from the state.

Governor Quinn speaking from the hard-hit town of Washington, Illinois Wednesday said $45 million in state aid will be used to help local governments recover from November’s deadly tornadoes that hit the state.
