(STLMoms) – Take a step back before you take that next ‘selfie‘ with your friends.  It could be harming your health.

Selfies could help spread lice among kids.  Experts who treat head lice say when kids take group selfies, they often touch their heads together.  And that can allow lice to jump from one person to the next.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the report first came from the website sFist after they quoted a lice expert who said she’s seen an increase in teen lice this year.

Selfies aren’t the worst culprit for head lice. It would seem to me that the actualy problem is people not treating their head lice properly in the first place.
