Ride for Hailey

SPRINGFIELD, MO (CNN) – Thousands of bikers cruised the streets of Missouri to honor the memory of a murdered 10-year-old.

It was a sea of pink, purple, and leather around Springfield on Sunday afternoon.

More than 2-thousand motorcyclists came together to ride, raise money and show support for the family of Hailey Owens.

Organizers estimate about 5-thousand other showed up to watch the ride and enjoy a free concert and benefit auction.

Hailey’s mom led the procession riding in a black truck decked out with pink and purple accents.

All of the money raised from the event will go to the memorial fund for Hailey Owens.
