ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – TED talks inspire millions around the globe.  The 18 minute speeches cover a variety of topics about scientific practice, research and culture through storytelling.  The talks have been posted online since 2006.  They have been viewed almost a billion times by an audience that spans the globe. Now, a St. Louis based non-profit organization is on the stage.

Kyle Ladd says he and other members founded the group “Zombie Squad” to find a fun way to practice preparing for a disaster. Collecting can goods, putting together an escape plan, storing water and reinforcing your home can be tedious and often times boring. The “Zombie Squad” gets people to prepare for an imaginary worst case scenario of a zombie outbreak.  Ladd says that if you’re prepared for a zombie that wants to eat you alive.  Then you’re prepared for anything.
