CREVE COEUR (KPLR) – The Creve Coeur City Council was scheduled to vote Monday night on drive-thru ordinance changes.

St. Louis Bread Company managers want a drive-thru at its location on New Ballas Road, since half its business there is take-out orders.

Opponents said they were worried about increased traffic.  They added that the lot – under three acres — is too crowded for a drive-thru.

The city’s Planning And Zoning Commission deadlocked 50-50 on whether to recommend the project.

Right now, Creve Coeur only has one drive-thru.  That lane is at a McDonald’s grandfathered in before a more restrictive ordinance was created.
