DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - An early-morning crash closed the left lane of Interstate-70 near Pine Street in Downtown St. Louis Tuesday.

A sedan may have spun out and hit a wall around 4:45 a.m..  No one was in the car when St. Louis Fire Department EMS medics arrived.  It is not clear if the driver left the scene, or walked to safety until they could get help.

It appeared a tractor-trailer driver blocked traffic to allow first-responders to get to the scene.  Traffic backed up quickly in the Depressed Section of the highway.
