(KPLR) – With the big game coming up on Sunday, Elliot Weiler learned how to makepig and fig bruschetta from Josh Allen, of Companion Bakery.
Pig & Fig Bruschetta
Simple, easy to prepare appetizer that’s sure to be a winner at your Super Bowl Party. Hits all the notes – salty, crunchy, creamy and sweet.
What you’ll need:
Companion Pain Beaucaire, sliced
Bacon, good quality, baked at 350 degrees until crunchy
Brie Cheese, sliced 1/4″ thick
Companion Fig & Apricot Fruit Spread
Bleu Cheese, crumbled
Putting it all together:
Spread slices of Pain Beaucaire with Fig & Apricot Fruit Spread. Cover with a couple slices of brie in a single layer. Top with crunchy bacon. Sprinkle on bleu cheese. Place on a sheet pan and bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes or until cheese softens and bread browns slightly at the edges. Serve immediately.
