Weather phenomenon in Ohio makes rare snow rollers
CLEVELAND, OH (WJW) — People in parts of Northeast Ohio were surprised by what they found in their yards Monday.
Across a bed of fresh snow were white, tire-like formations, as if someone were about to build a snowman, but there were no footprints in sight!
Those things are called snow rollers, a weather phenomenon that forms on its own.
Fox 8 Meteorologist Scott Sabol explained the conditions have to be just right for them to form, and they are quite rare in Ohio.
