Fire guts a Cahokia home

CAHOKIA, Il. (KTVI)- Fire crews rush to save a burning home in Cahokia.

They got the call for help around 6:45 Tuesday morning. A house was burning on Judith Lane and Falling Springs Road. Firefighters got to the scene in just minutes.  But, the flames were already punching through the windows and roof.

Our Mazda RoadRunner Bobby Hughes said he could see the smoke from the Poplar Street Bridge between Missouri and Illinois.  That is over five miles away.

Authorities said that the home was occupied. But, everyone got out safely.
