Smash and grab suspect wanted for at least 4 crimes in two counties

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KTVI)– Authorities are asking for help in stopping a smash and grab crime spree caught on camera in Lincoln and St. Charles Counties.

The losses and damages are mounting.  Authorities attribute at least 4 crimes to the same two suspects.

It started in the early morning of January 6th at the Boschertown Bar and Grill on Hwy. 94 in St. Charles County.

The most recent crimes happened in Hawk Point in Lincoln County in the early morning of January 16TH.

Surveillance cameras have repeatedly caught the suspects in the act.

Video from a break-in at  Cliff-and-Ella’s tavern in Hawk Point shows the suspects pulling up in a light colored 2006-2008 Ram pickup;  one of them pops open the front door with a pry bar, then runs in and beats the video games so hard things fall off the wall.  He takes the money from the games and takes off.

Authorities say the same pair hit Hawk Point VFW Post 7560 the same morning – getting away with $1800 in cash; the damage even more costly and still being tallied.

Authorities say the suspects seem to be very familiar with all of these places – trying to bash their way into cash registers, vending machines, video games, and ATM’s.

“They’ve hit ATM’s.  They’ve tried to drag an ATM out at one point, anything with money it or they think has money in it, they’re hitting.  They know exactly where it is,” said Lt. Andy Binder, with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

“We survive mainly on donations.  For that low life to come in here and do that, that’s ridiculous,” said VFW Post Commander, Mike Eaton.  “I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes come judgment day.  If he goes to jail it won’t be long enough.”

Authorities say the suspect you see in the video is a white male, around 6 feet tall, wearing a light colored hoodie, blue jeans and Nike tennis shoes with reflective letter Y’s on the heels.

There’s no description of the driver.
