ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Tuesday’s overnight snowfall was only just a couple inches for most of us in the St. Louis area, but it was enough to cause headaches for area street departments.

The snow,  plus freezing temperatures made Tuesday mornings commute tough for work crews clearing interstates, major roads and streets.

Todd Waterman, director of St. Louis City Streets Department had his crews out clearing major roads and the side streets of the city.

Reporter Chris Regnier was out in this morning’s commute, to check on street crew’s progress.
