St. Louis, MO (KTVI) - Would you go on a one-way mission to Mars? The non-profit foundation "Mars One" is funding the ticket to the Red Planet for a few lucky people. A woman from Bridgeton, Missouri is a finalist out of over 200,000 people who applied.

Maggie Duckworth found out she made a recent cut to be apart of the mission. The pool of potential people is now down to 1,058.

"I do a little bit of everything. I think that's something we're going to need. If there's any problem that we run into on Mars we're going to have to come up with solutions we cant necessarily be calling back to earth because its a six minute delay." said Duckworth.

Maggie owns Nostalgia Bomb Studios. She makes costumes, hats, and jewelry with her two best friends. She is trained as an electrical engineer.

The Mission will sell licensing rights and a reality show about the experience.
