Target / Retail

(KTVI) – Target customers who shopped at Target over the holiday season may have had their personal information compromised.  Now Target is offering free credit monitoring for a year and identity theft protection for all customers who shopped in their U.S. stores.

Target announced last week that up to 70 million customers were affected by a massive data breach over the holiday season.

Stolen information includes names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.

Target is using ProtectMyID, by credit monitoring company Experian to help customers monitor any activity on their credit reports.

Customers must visit Creditmonitoring.target.com to request  an activation code.  Users will be emailed a code within five days of the request.  Customers have until April 30 to redeem the code.
