Recess in Alaska means playtime -20 degrees

(KPLR)  -Freezing temperatures and darkness aren't keeping kids from recess in Alaska.
In Fairbanks, the kids get outdoor playtime at the start of the day, even though there is very little sunlight this time of the year.

Later in the day, they get more playtime during recess.

The principal saysrecess happens every day, unless the temperatures dip below negative 20.
He even checks three outside thermometers just to be safe.
