ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – The snow plows may be getting a break, but now the water repair crews are staying busy.
There have been dozens of reports of water main breaks and pipes bursting in businesses and schools from the recent cold snap.
A burst pipe at the St. Louis County Police Department Headquarters collapsed part of the roof.
The office will be closed at least till Thursday, 911 calls have not been disrupted the pipe burst.
Meanwhile, area cities, counties and Missouri American Water are still being plagued by numerous water main breaks, and more are expected over the coming days as pipes freeze-thaw causing breaks.
