ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The city of St. Louis is doing something it rarely does, plowing side streets.

Because the storm was so severe, city trucks are plowing residential streets but only in places where no cars are parked.

It is also spreading sand and salt and calcium chloride on those side streets, hoping that when the temperature gets a little warmer. It will help pre-treat those streets before the next storm on Wednesday.

Please plow and salt on Clifton Hills drive. This is a wide street just off of Southwest with a tall hill and almost no cars park in the street. A truck can get by with no problem. Thank you. 63139
