O’FALLON, MO (KTVI)– An O’Fallon, Missouri family enjoyed Christmas on New Year’s Day.

Thanks to the generosity of O’Fallon police officers and other first responders.

The day after Christmas, two officers answered a call about a loud argument at a trailer.

But something else they found troubled them. They didn’t see any tree, decorations or opened presents.

So they started a drive to help make the family’s holidays brighter.

Their fellow officers and others in public safety answered the call, donating all sorts of presents to the seven children and their parents.

The response to the request for donations was so successful the sheriff’s department is thinking about starting a toy drive to help more families next year.
