People enjoying the break in bitter cold temps
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Hundreds of people came to Forest park to enjoy the weather Friday afternoon.
It was a warm break between the bitter cold days of past and the bone chilling cold that is on the way.
“It is a great day to be out with the family, and it is important to enjoy it while we can,” Dr. Emmett Coleman, Jr. said.
People were walking dogs, playing golf and ice skating Friday.
The line to get skates at the Steinberg Ice Skating Rink was about 30 minutes long.
The rink has a fire pit. It was packed with people as the sun went down.
The rink was also filled with kids and couples as night fell in the area.
It was a chance for people to enjoy one more day of decent weather in 2013.
