Mt. Olive teachers and school board reach tentative agreement
Update: Sunday 39 teachers voted to ratify the tentative contract with the M0unt Olive Board of Education.
MT. OLIVE, IL. (KPLR) – After a nearly 5 hour bargaining session Saturday, Mt. Olive teachers and the board of education have reached a tentative agreement. The announcement was made Saturday evening jointly by both parties.
The Mount Olive Education Association is expected to put the agreement before its member on Sunday, December 15th for ratification, and the board of education is expected to do the same on Wednesday, December 18th before the full board.
The tentative agreement allows for the resumption of school for the students of Mt. Olive on Monday, December 16th.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
