How Mandela inspired St. Louisans

(KPLR) – Tributes continue to pour in from around the world for Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s first black president. Mandela was elected to the position after serving twenty-seven years in prison for fighting against apartheid in his native country. Many St. Louisans were involved in protests to free Mandela, including Lew Moye.  On the Pulse Of St. Louis, we talk with Moye and others about the civil rights icon and what he meant to them.
