ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– An airport security screener in St. Louis apparently seized a toy pistol from a cowboy sock monkey because it apparently looked too real.

KING-TV reports a   TSA agent at Lambert Airport discovered the tiny gun in a carry-on bag of sewing supplies belonging to a Washington state woman.

The woman says she was embarrassed when the agent allegedly threatened to callpolice.

No one was calledand she got her sewing supplies back, minus the toy gun.

The TSA issued a statement saying “Under long-standing aircraft security policy, and out of an abundance of caution, realistic replicas of firearms are prohibited in carry-on bags.”
