ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)– A significant work rule change on the table from area construction unions to help bring construction of Boeing’s new commercial plane to St. Louis.

Boeing needs a huge factory providing as much as one and a half million square feet for the production line of the 777X.

Three leading construction unions are offering a three-shift, no overtime contract that would cut a year off the building schedule and save dollars.

Missouri lawmakers are also meeting in a special session to consider bills to expand incentives to capture the Boeing business.
