Ethical hacker discusses cyber security

(KPLR) – He is a world known "Ethical" hacker. Dr. Charlie Miller is probably best known for being the first to hack the iPhone, discovering a hole in the mobile version of Safari in 2007.

He's been fascinated with computers every since he was a child.

After getting a Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Notre Dame, Miller worked at the U.S. National Security Agency for five years.

He moved back to his home town of St. Louis and took a job as principal analyst at consultancy Independent Security Evaluators, where Macs are standard.

Dr. Miller is also computer security researcher with Twitter.

He sat down with April Simpson to explain his job of finding vulnerabilities in computer systems that the bad guys could exploit for their own gain.
