Home invasion prompts school lock-down; Police searching for suspects

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Police have arrested one suspect wanted for a late morning home invasion in Olivette.  The other three are still at large.

Police say that a woman and her mother were walking out of their home when a vehicle pulled up to them.  Suspects got out of the vehicle and surrounded the women .  They then forced them back into the home.  The suspects then demanded jewelry and cash.

The mother was able to escape.  She ran out of the home screaming.  Neighbors then called police.

They took off in a vehicle. One suspect was caught by police after leading them on a foot chase through neighbor's yards.  Officers are still searching for three other suspects wanted in connection with the home invasion.

Nearby Old Bonhomme Elementary was placed on a precautionary lock-down.  Once one suspect was captured, the school lock-down was lifted.
