Nun robbed with screwdriver in front of church

(KTVI) – A nun is robbed outside a south St. Louis Catholic Church by a suspect wielding a screwdriver.  It happened around 5:45 a.m. Thursday as the nun was getting out of her car in front of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Delor and Newport.

The thief made off with the nun’s purse, wallet and phone.  Someone heard the nun’s scream and called police.

Authorities are looking for the suspect last seen in a white Yukon SUV.
