Stuck in the middle of nowhere, he got cackles instead of concern and had to call for help a second time.

Lalo Delgado/ Girlfriend Burned says: “Her initial reaction waslaugh and just giggling in the background. It was very disturbing.”
Lalo Delgado/ Girlfriend Burned says: “You’re calling for help. You shouldn’t be laughed at.”
Capt. Jim Berry/ Pima County Sheriff’s Department says: “We did not perform at the level I expect or the citizens of this county should expect us to. We are going to correct that. Certainly I can understand why the caller was upset by that. I would be too. (EDIT) “We are investigating what the laughter was about.”
Lalo Delgado/ Girlfriend Burned says: “If she wasn’t playing around giggling, I think she would have been just right on it. If it’s a minute, two minutes, you know every minute counts.”

The dispatcher is still on the job pending the investigation.
