Ironman athlete talks about surviving colon cancer
(KPLR) – In 2009 St. Louis Ironman athlete Teri Griege was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer,and her doctors gave her a 5-10 percent chance of living another 5 years. Teri came onto April Simpson’s “Afternoon on 11” to discuss her battle with colon cancer and her determination to live, compete and raise her family.
She was joined on set with Dr. Ralph Silverman, a Colorectal Specialists Surgeon to talk about the illness, symptoms and treatments available.
