Residents hope to save the St. Ann QuikTrip
ST. ANN, MO (KTVI) – St. Ann, Missouri, residents have mobilized a Facebook campaign and “Buy-In” to save a QuikTrip convenience store in their neighborhood.
Residents say they rely on the QuikTrip on St. Charles Rock Road, just east of Lindbergh, for food, gas, jobs and tax revenue. So when they heard the company may close this location, they called the customer service line.

“I called the customer service line this morning. The representative said he did not know why this store would close,” said one resident.
According to the Facebook page, “Save The QuikTrip Buy-In Events”, customer service representatives told residents the company will shut down the St. Ann location on September 6, 2013 as a test.
If customers go to competitors, the store will reopen. If they go to nearby locations, including a MegaQT slated to open on Page Avenue and Woodson Road a few miles away in Overland, Missouri, the St. Ann store will shut down for good.
Residents say the city’s mayor has worked hard to bring commerce to the area and losing this store could be devastating for the community.
Customers are staging that “Buy-In” to patronize the location as much as possible. With their dollars, they hope to tell the company how badly the store is needed in the community.
