Outlet mall developer looking for unique entertainment options
CHESTERFIELD, MO (KPLR) – Labor Day also means plenty of sales. The two new outlets in Chesterfield will be busy on Monday.
The two shopping centers have been big draws since opening in August. But, the construction isn’t over near the Simon Premium outlets yet. Developer Chesterfield Blue Valley still has land to build on and is planning for a hotel and other unique entertainment to the area.
Research shows the national average a female shops at an outlet is three hours and ten minutes. The developer wants to provide something for those who don’t want to hit up the sale racks.
“Looking for uses new to market, akin to Chuckie Cheese or Dave and Busters. To have a place for dad and kids to have fun while mom is shopping.” said Dean Wolfe of Chesterfield Blue Valley.
60 percent of the shoppers at the outlet malls are believed to be coming from more than 50 miles outside of Chesterfield.
