ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KPLR) - One of the cyclists who praised the “Ride of the Century” motorcycle event, died in a traffic accident Saturday morning in St. Charles.

Police say 25-year-old Justin Rohe ran a red light and struck a car at Mid Rivers Mall Drive around 1:30 a.m.

The car was making a left turn when Rohe hit the car.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says there's an ironic twist to all this.

With so many motorcycle riders on the road this weekend, the state police say both the cyclists and motorists need to be more vigilant.
