Kitchen Cures natural healing
(KPLR) – Peggy Kotsopoulos is a holistic nutritionist and has written “Kitchen Cures: Revolutionize Your Health with Foods that Heal.” She stopped by the studio to explain some of the things you can do to want to boost your energy, sleep better, manage stress and lose weight.
Here are a couple of her suggestions:
Depression – boost serotonin levels naturally with omega-3 fatty acids found in wild salmon, anchovies, and walnuts
Trouble sleeping – brew a cup of chamomile tea, or add a bit of lemon balm to your stuffed pepper dinner
Nails splitting – soak your fingertips in olive oil to soften cuticles and strengthen nails
Unhappy with your skin – fight acne and age spots with lemon juice, lavender, and raw honey or get glowing skin with a soothing mask of avocado, yogurt and papaya
Want fresher breath – try a piece of cinnamon stick, which kills odors with its naturally antibacterial properties
