Ballpark Village construction reaches milestone
ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – Ballpark Village has come one step closer to a reality. Tuesday, the Cardinals and project developer, Cordish Companies, hosted a formal topping off ceremony. A crane will lifted the last roof truss into place.
Crews have been feverishly working on Ballpark Village ever since ground was finally broken on the long-awaited project in February. It’s being built on 10 acres just north of Busch Stadium.
The $100 million-dollar first phase will feature 100,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space. It’s going to be anchored by Cardinal Nation — a Cardinals Museum and Hall of Fame, the Budweiser Brew House — a two-story restaurant and bar, and Live at Ballpark Village — a massive central gathering and entertainment place.
There will also be a cowboy bar with bull riding. The first phase is set to be done by opening day.Submit Your Photo
