ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-- Close friends and family gathered Thursday night to celebrate the life of Domonique Harden, killed in a head-on collision.

The 28-year-old was driving to East St. Louis early Sunday morning when police say a van swerved into her lane and hit her head-on. The driver of the other vehicle died as well.

Thursday night, close friends of Domonique Harden held a fundraiser from 6p.m. until 1 a.m. at Soho Restaurant and Lounge in the Grove.

The evening included a live jazz band and food and drinks. All proceeds will help cover funeral costs.

For close friend Sharee Galvin, the fundraiser is a bittersweet way to remember Domonique and help her family get through this difficult time.

Domonique Harden`s funeral will be held this Saturday at 11 in the morning at New Life Christian Center in East St. Louis.
