FOREST PARK (KTVI) – Car break-ins are a huge problem around St. Louis and it looks like more happened again. This time in Forest Park not far from the Art Museum.

A good amount of evidence linked to what happened on Lagoon Drive by the grand basin was found Monday morning. Items included at lease one purse and broken glass lining the street.

You could see piles of glass every few feet. St. Louis police do not have very many details about what happened. A FOX 2 viewer said her daughter’s car was among some 30 cars that were broken into last night in the park.

St. Louis police say they did have a report of several cars being broken into around 9 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. Sunday on West Pine. That’s not far from the park.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson talked about the measures the police are taking to help curb the break-ins.
