ST. PETERS, MO (KTVI)-- A St. Peters mother is arrested for leaving a loaded rifle in a crib with her 22-month-old child.

Cheryl Dudley, 37, faces charges of 7-counts of child endangerment and one count of child abuse.

Police were called on Monday when neighbors spotted the baby tied to the garage door by a rope.

The probable cause statement in her case described the living conditions of the house as covered in dog feces, dirt and mold.

The children have been removed from the home, and the 5 dogs have been turned over to animal control.
