There was no shortage of Cardinals headlines on Wednesday.  Yadier Molina went on the disabled list with a sprained right knee.  The trade deadline came and went without a move by the Cardinals. And then there was yet another loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Another narrow, painful loss as the Cardinals fell 5-4 to make it seven straight losses on the current road trip.  The Cardinals wasted a 13 hit attack on offense featuring a 3 hit night from Matt Holliday.  Adam Wainwright couldn’t hang on to leads of 2-0, 3-1, and 4-2.  The Pirates pushed ahead the winning run in the bottom of the 8th when Russell Martin delivered a 2 out RBI single off Trevor Rosenthal, who took the loss.  The Cardinals now trail the Pirates by 2.5 games in the NL Central.
